Early Fireworks

A few days ago, I mentioned my interest in Hens & Chicks. They are not normally grown or known for their blooms, but when they do get around to blooming, they sure do a great job! This one reminds me of the fireworks we'll be seeing on Canada Day this weekend.

That's lovely...my H&C are sending huge stalks into the air, but I have never seen flowers on the ends of them.
