Mystery Seeds

Well, they would be a mystery to me except that I saw the plant they were on. A plant that I've had for 20 years and never noticed the seed pods after they've ripened! They're tree peony seeds.

A magnificent clear close up. I have a tree peony, but it doesn't often bloom, though I am not sure why.
