"A fire in a forest is alive with terror and power." ~Matthew Desmond
I took this photo last weekend while attending a wedding in a beautiful location about an hour and a half south of where I live. Unfortunately, there is an ever growing forest fire just south of this location. It's bad. A major highway is closed and just yesterday, they closed down the entire National Forest to the public because fire conditions are so bad. This photo should show luscious green mountains. It was so smoky and ash continuously rained from the sky.
This is beautiful. With all the horrors of smoke, it does make for interesting lighting. Have been following the disastrous fire you're havingi there n the news What an awful shame for that beautiful land. Fav

The muted colors are ominous. This years fire season is going to be a real challenge. I hope and pray for rain.

The fires are starting so early :( it is still a stunning landscape photo and the haze adds to the moment in time.

Bad news about the fire but I like the effect it has on your landscape shot.

Well done. Looks like a '50s or '60s postcard. Man, I hate those fires.
