I´ve waited for these weather conditions for a long time to get this shot. On wednesday I was running a bit late and had no time to go shoot this spot even thou it was a perfect foggy morning, but at least I had time for that other pic. I´m very happy that I had some spare time this morning.
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea That is an amazing compliment! Those floating mountains on Avatar were so beautiful and mystical, really you could have not said anything more beautiful about this shot, thank you oh so very much Arefin!
@zenna Thank you so much Gayanne, I´m very happy about those reflections myself too
@nanderson Thank you sweet Nancy, oh II don´t know, that remains to be seen. The good thing about this coutry is defenitely the nature, sunsets and mist here are very easy to shoot
I wondered what it would look like in b&w, and took the liberty of downloading and editing it. See what you think, using this recipe:
Convert to RGB channel layers;
Hide or delete all but the red layer;
Add a duplicated layer above that red layer;
Set the new layer's mode to overlay.
I think it looks even better, but I'd love to know what you think.
@kaesebiscuit Oh that's quite ok, thank you for the interest. You know I really don't understand any of what you are saying about the processing...but I would be very interested to see the version you made out of this....so maybe you could email it to me? Or upload it in your album for a day before you project started just long enough for me to see it?
I'll email it to you if you like. Send me your email address by email, if you can work out my address out from my profile, or post your address here and you can delete the post afterwards.
@kaesebiscuit I really can't work out your adress, I'm not sober;-) Okey here is what we're going to do, I'll post my email address randomly in chocen pic of your album and I trust you delete it as soon as you'll get it :)
@kaesebiscuit Really yeah, I've drank one beer but cos I've not drinken any alcohol for a while, it pretty much feels like I've drank a douzen, lol. I'm enjoying the last warm days of the summer at the cottage, it's not like I'm usually drunk at this time of the day.
@susale Well I'm the original "lightweight" where alcohol is concerned. As I say, one sniff of the bar lady's apron and I'm anybody's. Two sniffs and I'm everybody's. Luckily, I'm sober! :-D
Wow like a bonsai tree. Beautiful subject and the perfect conditions to shoot it. Now I don't mind the warm tones at all, because this doesn't look very Finn to me anyway :) On the contrary, I like the mood the warm tones give to this shot. Those rocks are cool, but maybe their shape is too geometric vs. the organic shapes of the bonsai island. How about turning this 90 degrees to left, the island would look like a lady with a long slim dress and a bad hair day :-) Faving.
@jacjacs68 Thank you jackie, you´re so sweet to say so!
@soozieqt Thank you very much Susan and thank you for visiting my project, very much appreciated
@edie Thank you Edie, and thank you for the visit and for the fav, both appreciated so much
@janim Thank you so very much Jani, interesting suggestion, this looks real intriguing flipped, bad hair day, lol! I see your point about the rocks, I tell you what, this place is pretty much on my way to work, so I´ll reshoot this some morning next week without the rocks, postaan vaikka sitten vaan flickeriin, jos en tänne.
@nanderson Thank you sweet Nancy, oh II don´t know, that remains to be seen. The good thing about this coutry is defenitely the nature, sunsets and mist here are very easy to shoot
