My get-pushed challenge from @rachelwithey was to capture a moment. I suspect she ment I should literally capture some fraction of time with fast shutter speed like a drop or water crown but I took the liberty to interpret this a little differently, I captured a moment in life, a very sad moment. This is a pic that just wanted to be created and I needed to get this out of my head. Thank you Rachel for the challenge and I promise I will try to catch those drops at some point too.
This has nothing to do with my life, so don´t worry, it´s all for the sake of art. I however am sorry to upload such a sad sad pic for you. It came out a little bit more emotional than my intention was. I wish I could say there will be no more pics like this, but I´m afraid I´m just getting started, there are few more pics that are just waiting to get out.
Oh and the words are borrowed from a song Give me a piece of your heart by Ten. I changed them a bit to suit my purposes but mostly it´s not my text.
Very cool response, I love dark pictures with strong emotion. Makes me more grateful to gave the life I have. Fav- you didn't even need the words the image is so strong
I love this...keep them coming. Pics like this come from an emotional spot inside you and when it's gone, it's gone. Keep shooting while the emotions are still there. LOVE it.
Let 'em out. I far prefer photos that are heartfelt expressions of emotion than unimaginative photos of, say, a camera lens. I'd say you capture that moment pretty damn well.
@kaesebiscuit Thank you G, I had a feeling you´d like this and it´s a good thing cos I sort of got the inspiration out of what we talked earlier, I´ll explain it by email.
A dramatic and emotional capture. The words go with it very well. That glimpse of the world outside the window does two things, for me: it emphasizes the fact that the figure feels very alone and separated from the rest of the world at this point in her life; but it also is a reminder that the outside world is there and will be ready to receive and comfort her when she is ready. Just my take on this. Fav for me!
You have captured the moment and the emotion. Wonderful words to go with the image. There is a place for this type of image and I look forward to seeing more of yours in this theme.
@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie for your elaborate comment. It actually is not a window, it's a mirror but it's purpose it the same, to show that there is a part of a world that goes without our main character, a side of light.I like so much more the idea of a window thou, it would fit here better. I also wanted her, the sad woman, to be in shadows, as to show she is in a very dark place and beyond the light, there is a sharp line between the light side of the room and the shadowed side and it's there on purpose.
@ingrid2101@jacjacs68 Thank you girls for your great comments. The words are here cos I wanted this to be seen excatly like this and not for instance so that her lover had died. I wanted her to be a woman broken by a bad relationship.
@kaesebiscuit Thanks for the hug, needed that :) I try to write you tomorrow, I have this stupid meeting tomorrow evening but I´m hoping I get home early.
