Well in my kitchen there are flowers dying and instead of getting rid of them, I felt a need to photograph them. I guess it can be considered to be the last act of kindness for those poor flowers.
You know I heard this poor little tulip talking when I bought it. You know what it said ? Well I heard it saying to other tulips: "OMG is that her, oh crap it is her -the legendary flower killer!...let´s all be very quiet and maybe she dosen´t notice us....crap she´s coming this way, please please don´t pick us...oh no, we are all doomed now!"
I´m so sorry little tulip, I don´t know why my flowers always die.
Love love love this shot and an instant fav, it looks so gorgeous and delicate even if it is dying...and don't worry I'm sure all the flowers speak the same of me when they see me too lol...
@jerwinkie Oh that´s very interesting theory, thank you for sharing it with me. I find that idea intriguing, especially since I don´t use salt at all if I can avoid it, meaning that I hardly never add any salt to anything I´m cooking myself but maybe that´s indeed not to be taken literally, maybe it means that I have some kind of bad aura or something....
@andy3168 Thank you Andy, well since you´re a man, I don´t think nobody expects you to, I on the other hand feel I always have to be explaining why I don´t get along with flowers very well :D
@susale hi, I dont really consider my grandmas phrase as negative or something like that. Im pretty sure she was not talking about literal salt either. Haha! lliterally, we all know how valuable salt is. Salt in the bible is said to be divine and pure. It is use to preserve food and use as fertilizer as well. I still dont understand. But once salt is contaminated with other chemicals, it becomes poisonous. Just sharing...
Ha. You're not the only one with dead flowers in their kitchen. If you leave them long enough and give them a bit of water they might come back next year. I had that happen with a hyacinth one year.
This is a great B&W. Beautiful focus and composition.
