Behind the mask by susale

Behind the mask

It´s the same mask as here http://365project.org/susale/365/2014-09-28
My friend, who is the model here, requested this version to be uploaded as she prefered this one over the other. Also I´ve been really tired today so I haven´t really got anything else to upload for today.
I prefer this one, too. Love the tones and eye focus. Fav!

The color version is very dreamy- like Romeo and Juliet whereas the b/w version is more mysterious.

I like the focus in this one. There is a diagonal flow from left to right, blurry eye to the focused eye to where she is looking at. I preferred the monochrome though. Kauhee hinku olis silpasta siivut pois alhaalta ja vasemmalta, silleen että silmä olis alakulmassa freimiä.... mut en osaa selittää miks, joten varmaan joku mun pakkomielle taas. Favaan tän.

@janim I see what you mean about the flow....ja vois tätä hyvin siivuttaakin, thänks....joo onhan tää paremmin sommiteltu kun se edellinen mutta mua kans viehätti se mustavalkodramatiikka siinä ja siks mä sillon valitsin sen kuvan....varmaan ajoin tänkin mustavalkoon mutta muistaakseni jotenkin tää väritys toimi paremmin tässä ku se mustavalkosuus, en tie miks....

I love this as well. Nice choice on the background eye focus. Adds to the mystery.

Tough choice between the two for me. Generally speaking I find that when an image has only one eye in the focal plane that I prefer the closer eye to be in focus. At the same time, this composition definitely is working for me. The warm tone really sets the artistic aspect of the image for me as well. I think if I had to pick one over the other this would be the choice, but both are very nice. P.S. your friend has great eyes!
