We hadn't met for 45 years but it really was as if we were 14 years old again. A lot has happened to us during those years but inside we haven't changed.
This must be a year for reunions, Sue. Our whole school class turned 50 during 2013, so 26 of us met up for lunch at the end of August and it was like turning the clock back. This shot looks very relaxed and happy :-)
@squaresparrow We were relaxed and happy but the occasion was tinged with sadness. There were originally 6 of us in our 'gang' at school. One we have all lost touch with, one sadly died in June (prompting us to have this reunion) and Lis (above) was unable to be with us because of illness in the family.
@susiemc I understand the poignancy of the occasion. It struck me that if our classmates meet up in another 5 or 10 years, already some of us may not be well - or worse. 'Carpe diem' is ringing loudly in my ears.
