Bindweed by susiemc

Bindweed

There was one small area of the reserve where there had been buildings where the military had stored cordite which I think is an explosive. The area is now derelict and completely overgrown with brambles and bindweed and is an absolute haven, apparently, for butterflies in the summer.
Bindweed is a real nuisance in gardens of course but here it was lovely.
A nice capture and composition !

Nice shot. Bindweed does look lovely when it's growing wild - shame it's so invasive.

So pretty. It reminds me of our petunias.

The bane of my life even though it's so pretty!

Well captured, bindweed can be a problem but its flowers are pretty. I know the area you mean and saw lots of butterflies and birds there
