The day after we went to Rainham Marshes we went into London, just 20 minutes on the train from Romford where Martha lives.
This picture is taken from the high level walkway on Tower Bridge. There are two walkways, one looking downstream towards the east and one looking upstream towards the west. Here I'm standing on the downstream one looking through the upstream one towards the west. Sorry to make it sound so complicated. Through the window you can see the BT Tower, or the Post Office Tower to those of us of a certain age. I've chosen to post this on the 8th October because it was 50 years ago today, 8th October 1965 when Harold Wilson, the then prime minister, officially opened the tower.
