We bought this new dahlia quite recently and today the first flower opened. The bees didn't take long to find it.
Today had a disapointing start, we were supposed to drive up to Darlington in Co. Durham to spend a few days with Pat, my sister in law. Unfortunately Chris isn't well. He had a wisdom tooth out a few days ago and it's not good. He's in a lot of pain and needs to go back to the dental hospital tomorrow. Fortunately we've been able to postpone our visit until next week.
