When I bought this witch-hazel a couple of years ago I thought it was going to be a yellow/orange colour. It's growing into a strong healthy shrub and it's absolutely full of flowers. I am dissappointed with the colour though, I wanted something much more vibrant and cheerful for this time of year. Perhaps I'll appreciate it more as it grows bigger.
I hope you do come to enjoy it more. It is an interesting looking plant and would be a bright spot compared to the things I have in my garden in January.
