A Winter Walk Along The Brecon and Monmouth Canal

Today my friend Nicola and I walked along the canal for 2.5 miles from where it starts in Brecon, and back again. Nicola's labrador, Tilly came with us. Tilly is now 8 months old so she can do quite long walks. it was very cold and very dull but we felt much better afterwards. The canal is in the Brecon Beacons National Park so the scenery is lovely, even on a dull, grey day like today. The river Usk is to the right of the towpath but not quite close enough to see in this photo.
it looks a nice place for a walk, I like the reflections of the trees in the canal

Nice dry path….a canal walk is good with young dogs we find as they are limited where they can run off too, only backwards & forwards!! Connie walks the Lancaster canal often.

Lovely capture, but it sure does look chilly - same as her down South!

Lovely shot, like the reflections on the water. (Less mud than I encountered today!!)

Nice shot, Sue, with the leading line of the path taking us to Tilly (who is wanting you to hurry up, I think) and to that lovely curve at the end. Fav

Tilly is waiting for you slow pokes to catch up so she can smell what is around that next bend.
