If you look carefully you can see the River Wye in the middle of the picture between the houses and the trees.
I had to go to Hay for a hair appointment today. Chris took me (I still can't drive, still waiting for my eye op) and we decided to have lunch in the lovely café in the castle which has recently been restored. Before we had lunch we walked up to the viewing gallery at the top of the tower and this is where I took the picture. The views are quite something.
So interesting, we have just had a wander around Hay on the basis of this picture. David's Aunty Bessie lived on Brook Street and his Aunty Mary lived on Lion Street. Across the river in the distance his great great grandfather James Watkins had a farm. Brought back memories. Later Bessie moved to Gipsy Castle.
A great pov to capture this shot, Sue! Such an amazing view! (and, yes, I can make out the sliver of water of the River Wye). That is a dramatic sky capture, too! Fav
