Our garden is an unusual shape, it goes all round the house. This is part of the back and one side. The pond is huge compared to the size of the garden. The house is on the left (the bit you can see is a small utility room on the end). Top right is the summer house.
@jesika2@oldjosh Thank you. It is very definitely full of life and a few days ago a Great White Egret came to visit. The pond has steep sides and is too deep for a heron or egret to stand in so we’re fairly confident it hasn’t taken any fish. It’s also been visiting other ponds in the village where it may have been more successful.
It is very lovely and so green looking. A perfect place to sit in the late afternoon with tea or a glass of wine. I do suspect though that for the gardener here there is not a lot of sitting. :)
