Today Freya and I went to a Pick Your Own fruit and vegetable farm. We had great fun picking plums, cherries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. It's all absolutely delicious. Freya absolutely loved it and she loves all the fruits that we picked. Needless to say we ate lots while we were picking.
@alinz These were £6.95 per kilo. This was quite reasonable. Cherries are always the most expensive fruit but this year is a good year and a lot of cherries are grown around here. There's a glut so they're a bit cheaper than usual and they are absolutely delicious.
@susiemc Thanks - ours in NZ normally start at Xmas for $20 and might drop to $10 - 12 if we are lucky. Gorgeous though aren't they. I often 'pickle' some in red wine/brandy/cinnamon etc for later in the year!
