First Fire of the Season by susiemc

First Fire of the Season

It's been quite a nice day and not especially cold but late this afternoon the rain really set in and it got a bit cool in the house. A fire seemed like a good idea.

Those amongst you who are particularly observant will have noticed a large pebble in front of the fire with the word Jasper on it. Jasper was our black lab. He died a few years ago when he was 13 years old and a good friend gave me this pebble as a gift to remember him by. We still miss him but looking after Millie helps.
That looks so cosy & welcoming!

It all looks so cosy. I was asked to do a couple of tiles once for a friend who's dogs died I found it quite a difficult thing to do. Not artistically but emotionally.

It looks so cosy. We lit our fire again last night. After a few days of really hot weather for the beginning of Spring, a cold front came across on Sunday morning and we are freezing again. Well 16 degrees here is freezing
