@julienne1 It's not really as clever as it looks, the leaves are tightly rolled when they first emerge so the bug just took one big bite!. I remember doing that kind of thing with paper when I was a child
brilliant find in your garden, wonder who has been munching on the leaves, must be a tasty leaf! great repeated patterns and detail in the chewed leaf , the leaf itself and the fence . fav :)
Those leaves look great with their two tone green stripes. Nice to have the added pattern provided by the bug. At least for the photo anyway. Probably a bit annoying for the plant, and the tenderer of the plant.
