A very thoughful bug

Its so nice that the bug took the time to leave such an artistic trail of destruction behind.
Well spotted. And you're now recruiting your bugs to 365 as well. Brilliant!

@peadar Hehe, I'm happy to accept help from any direction

@julienne1 It's not really as clever as it looks, the leaves are tightly rolled when they first emerge so the bug just took one big bite!. I remember doing that kind of thing with paper when I was a child

It makes a great photograph. It reminds me of the children’s book The Hungry Catapiler

amazing!! fav

Very interesting that it appears to be the only leaf affected. Well seen and the background helps to emphasise the holes. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like someone took a hole punch to it - and such a distinct pattern - such a neat find.

the trail of the "very hungry caterpillar!" how wonderful!

Good catch. Like the symmetry of the bug nibbles and the leaf pattern.

brilliant find in your garden, wonder who has been munching on the leaves, must be a tasty leaf! great repeated patterns and detail in the chewed leaf , the leaf itself and the fence . fav :)

LOL! You are being so kind! Nice pattern!

It seems that the bug measured the distance between one hole and the other to make them equidistant. Well spotted and captured.

Those leaves look great with their two tone green stripes. Nice to have the added pattern provided by the bug. At least for the photo anyway. Probably a bit annoying for the plant, and the tenderer of the plant.

nice capture.. I like all the lines in the leaves
