On the 15 minute drive home last night I could see a beautiful band of colour forming at sunset
I quickly grabbed this shot out of my bedroom window.
Two minutes later the sky returned to the murky grey it had been all afternoon
I hope the red sky means we will be in for a nice day today.
We`ve the proverb: Avondrood, water in de sloot. = +/- ( An evening`s red gives rain in the ditches) When it is a red sky at the evening , rain soon will come .

@pyrrhula Ahh that is interesting Ferry, Here we say red sky at night, shepherds delight, red sky in the morning, shepherds warning. which means the rain will come if the sky is red in the morning. After our beautiful sky last night, we had a lovely day, but it did rain slightly in the late afternoon.
