Life is a very emotional experience

Nothing went right today with the planned self portrait so I have ended up with this half smile with clever quotes about emotions. I used my favourite one I found as the title, which pretty much says it all.
Next weeks theme is monochrome, surely that will be easier

@fbailey I tried a few different techniques which were mighty fails, but this was surprisingly easy once I got the hang of it . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKTq-rHIC7I Now I know what I'm doing and the way things are going, we may both have something pretty similar next week :))

@suzanne234 I know nothing about Gimp I'm afraid. I use PS Elements. I did attempt this a few months back but crashed sbd burned! t seems to work better using a displacement filter in PS which I am wary of. You don't mind if we use the same technique?
