This is Brian who was at the 1940's festival in Woodhall Spa. He is my 2nd stranger. I did get a close up of him when we were having a chat, but I thought this showed a little more of his story.
He is sat in the doorway of his 1955 Austin Loadstar which was originally owned by the BBC and used as a generator lorry for outside broadcasts. It was used for the outside transmissions of Sir Winston Churchill's funeral in 1965 and the World Cup in 1966. It was eventually withdrawn in 1968.
super story and an interesting stranger. i love the link to the vehicle

What a relaxed, happy portrait of a stranger. It seems that the 100 stranger project just opens up so many avenues for conversations which would never occur otherwise. I'll follow your tally with great interest. :)
He looks happy and proud on the steps of his van (or truck). He must be very in love with it. Beautiful capture and he makes a great subject with his lovely smile.
What a great bit of history this equipment has had, and very timely to see it now. Love how you have your portrait so well contextualised showing the pleasure Brian has in his restoration.
