My bird identification skills are going from strength to strength.

Although I am half expecting some ornithologist to come back and say "I think you will find that what you have there is in fact a grey headed oooglefuselum swamp warbler."

I know what those ornithologists are like. :)

As with all birds the male oooglefuselum swamp warbler is so much more attractive than the female and you have captured him beautifully here.

@kali66 Definitely a male....... or at least that's what he told me. I have no reason to doubt his word as I have never known a finch to lie before. :)

Charming photo, Billy. I do the same thing when I capture of bird. Take a guess (usually with the help of a book) and keep my fingers crossed that I don't have it all wrong!
