Waiting patiently for her extra large glass of Prosecco to arrive. She looks calm and relaxed but you can see the longing and anticipation in her eyes.
The first of many indoor shots to come I feel, as it would seem that we have four storms in a row sweeping across the Atlantic and into Cornwall over the coming month.
Storm Doris is the first, which is on it's way in as we speak. What sort of a name is that for a storm....... The only threatening image I can bring to mind for a storm called Doris is possibly Doris Day playing Calamity Jane....... and Doris Day was never particularly threatening was she? ..... dear of her.
Doris will be quickly followed by Ewan, Fleur and Gabriel. None of which sound particularly threatening.......
Maybe it's just me, but I expect storms to have names like Morrigan, Boadicea, Hecate, Thor or Caligula. Proper storms with proper menacing names....... What are these meteorologists thinking of? :)
Great portrait, as for storm names they give them names like Doris because they think we will all be frightened by a stronger name.
OHDear storm HELGA is on her way run for the hills.
Great shot, and she's a girl after my own heart (the Prosecco!)... Indeed those names aren't scary at all, some are even neat (Ewan, Fleur, Gabriel? I like!)... Good luck with the storms, though I'm sure they will not bother a sturdy pirate like you.
OHDear storm HELGA is on her way run for the hills.
Enjoy your wine :-)
