Lugger by swillinbillyflynn

Lugger

Contrary to what Hollywood would have you believe, Pirates seldom sailed in huge galleons or men'o'war. Most pirates used smaller ships like luggers. The advantage was that they were very fast and allowed them to get in and out again quickly thereby avoiding the Royal Navy and their larger slower pirate hunters.

That's not to say that these luggers were not heavily armed with cannon and packed with ferocious pirates
Stunning shot
