Wintry Night Treetops

Someone used the term "lazy photo" and now I think I understand better. I have been carrying my camera now almost every day. Walking home from the office in the dark, noticed how selected trees were lit along the street medium and snapped. Did a little tweaking in aperture to get rid of the lights from the building behind the trees. So "lazy" because it was just there...
Not my definition of laziness at all, what you describe is a matter of being aware as you go about your daily business, something we all should aspire to. The lazy photographers as far as I'm concerned are the ones who find a winning formula and repeat it ad nauseam without ever pushing themselves to try anything new.

Although I like how the trees against the background show a good contrast and interesting image, I understand now what is meant by "lazy photography", too. I've done that (Bahrain bells) where I just poked my head out the back door and snapped -- but then became more inspired to play with the image post production. What I've come to appreciate about 365 (one thing among many many things I appreciate) is the discipline to keep shooting every day. Lazy or not.

The one thing this photo makes me wonder is if you placed it at an angle or if it makes me feel that way because the foreground tree branches are so angled?
