It was quite the glorious day today. Late afternoon I decided to go somewhere to do a photo walk, and that the location would depend on where I could find a parking place that was reasonable. I lucked out on my first try and had street parking on museum campus (the lot is $19.00). I didn't realize all the tulips would be there. I climbed a little hill by the Shedd Aquarium, waded carefully among the goose poop to find a place where I could kneel down safely (there was a LOT of it!), and this is the shot I liked best. This is the skyline viewed from the east, looking across Lake Michigan from the side of the aquarium. Although, actually most of where I was standing is built on landfill from the late 1800s and early 1900s, so inlet is probably not the right term.

I was actually deciding between a b&w shot from today with a very dramatic sky or a happier one that gives a sense of the harbor with boats, etc. It was such a bright and cheerful day, it feels wrong now to put up the b&w which looks much more dark. Plenty of those come fall/winter!
Clever shot!! Love the contrast with the flowers and the building. I made it downtown yesterday too - but late afternoon. We parked at fox and obel to get free parking after we ate at the cafe. didn't you love the clouds?
@mwbc They were amazing! How long can you park at Fox & Obel if you eat in the cafe, after you leave? Do they monitor that? So clever of you! A few of us may meet up this Saturday on museum campus about 6:00 if your'e interested. Let me know.
You truly are the city scape master. I just love your pov. Also I spent mother's day on the ground on stomach most likely in goose poop getting some shots of my kids and husband in the air....ah, goose poop. :/ fav!
