I had very limited opportunity to photograph today. This photo was taken on the sand dune in front of our friends' house on Donegal Bay (same site as the Duffy's fence photo several weeks ago), after dinner. I rarely recommend a large view, but this one works better that way largely because of it's elongated horizontal shape. It was the only way to make tonite's sunset interesting! Progress, I've made the switch to my new full-frame camera body. I didn't even use my D90 for a backup shot today! I'm noticing the full-frame works especially well for wider angles. Also noticing problem in remembering controls and not doing dumb things by accident. I've somehow managed to lock my memory card (and not using the little thing on the card) through the camera so can't erase any of the images. Horrible reminders of the several bad shots I took tonight!
Diary entry for self: Fun thing I did that took time this afternoon was volunteering at the Museum Week art show. It was the last day and I'm excited to say that three of my photos were purchased! And, I hung out with other artists so it was like being a a costume party or something where I had a different persona because they treated me like one of the artists. Very very cool!
Love this, great tones. How exciting you are treated like a artist but you really are one you know :) You have your pics in a gallery and you've sold your work, that spells artist to me.
Didn't have to look at it large- it was gorgeous and a fav from the git-go! You are the second person I'm following that has sold photographs (plural!!) this week. Do I get an autographed version of one of my Taffy favorites when you become famous? I'm so excited for you!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the comments -- it helped me see the strength in the image, more than when I posted it initially.
Thanks for viewing and commenting -- and the congrats on the photos selling. Such a great feeling!
