My colleague and I drove up to Lake Geneva to look at possible sites for a leadership meeting in April. The Abbey Resort is on a harbor that today was like a glass mirror. This image used 3 photos combined in HDR as I wanted to get the details as sharp as possible. I can imagine this site covered in snow in the not too distant future!
An over the top view from one of Geneva Lake's bays in my extras album - http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-11-21 (the town is Lake Geneva, the lake is Geneva Lake...really!)
Thank you all for an amazing photo day today on 365. My two lily shots and the puppy were all on PP at the same time. Wow wow wow!!!! You are the most amazing, supportive community!
Downright beautiful. I am appreciative of the processing that brings a cool and wintery feel to the scene - in fact I almost "see" snow that isn't there.
Crystal clear water - looks like everything is there in double. I wonder why the place is called Geneva? It doesn't look anything like the original Geneva but it does look like a lovely place. Super shot.
@happysnap There were a lot of Swiss immigrants that settled this part of southern Wisconsin but this isn't really one of the towns that reflect it. Too commercial.
