Pretty self-explanatory...not a great way to bring in the new year so am hoping that by Tuesday I'm back to normal.
Limited my photography today to indoors so practiced still life and negative space. And sleeping and watching movies and viewing photos. Wanted to go to the roof and re-do my first shot, but it's icy and fogged in. Probably all for the best. Hoping others are having a good weekend!

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that you're sick! Hope you get well by the New Year! I've loved seeing all your Hawaii photos and hope to catch up on commenting very soon! :)
TaffyR, I hope you feel better soon! (And, honestly, I wasn't copying off of you when I took and posted my own cold remedy of a cup of hot honey and lemon just now! *wry grin*). Here's to a photo that tells a story! Here's hoping the next story photo you post tells one of recovery and feeling well!
So sorry to hear you're under the weather! I find that mucinex is my bff during those sniffly days- and Theraflu at night along with a handy dose of Airborne. At least your Hawaii pictures can cheer you up!
trust a talented photographer to create a oppurtunity from nothing ... kudos to your commitment ... and thinking .... hope you feel better soon my friend!!
Poor you Taffy! Its often the case when you come home to cold weather from a hot climate - hope you feel better soon in the meantime enjoy those movies!
that's the way it is - too much of a good time clearly does not make us perfectly happy - the universe believes we need the lows too - still being ill can be quite cuddly if you have no work on or food to cook ...
I'm so sorry you are poorly the day before New Years Eve. No consolation at all but you are not alone, after various family and friends sniffling away, my throat is now sore… oh dear!
"Wine a bit you WILL feel better" .... hahah! sorry you are not feeling well. Now I know why you made the comment on my photot. Nice composition, btw!!
Sorry you are sick. It is absolutely no fun. I am finally over the same thing that is going around here. Sure makes it a good time to catch up unless you are coughing, sneezing and blowing your nose constantly. TV worked well for me. I watched some wonderful movies. Take good care and hope this is gone soon.
I must admit I didn't read all the previous comments so apologize if you've already responded to the well wishes in hoping the worst is over. I hope you are able to enjoy the what I assume is the end of break. Hopefully we don't get too buried in this next wave of snow!
@vankrey Thanks Michael! The worse is behind me, but this cough is tenacious! Another week before school starts in full force so I'm planning to hide out at home during this arctic frost! I hope you can avoid being out too much and enjoy that last bit of break and snow shoveling!

Aw...thank you all for your well wishes. They have brightened my evening!
Lisa -- the lighting is the one I've used for some of the flower macros I've done -- my counter top with the hanging halogen above, with all the other lights turned out. Then, in processing I up the contrast a bit to get rid of any remaining extraneous light leading in.
Thanks so much for the kind words. The only upside is lying around so having time to respond, view, and say thank you!
( great and beautiful composed pic. to show you illness )
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I'm definitely improving -- I'm sure getting actual medication to go with my home remedies is helping! Happy New Year to you all!
