My mom and I had a lovely hour walk in this city park with a name that fits really well. Pretty much everywhere I'd look there was something amazing to try to capture in an image. Watched several climbers scaling these formations. Nice day with family. Alternate shot: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2014-10-04

Thanks for your comments on the DFW escalator and for sharing some of your stories of time at that airport!
Hey again... Did u ever send me your email? I promise I won't but her you too much but just I case I am in a jam with the Mac and iPhoto. Btw do you use Aperture? I did not know of it until u mentioned it and now it is going bye bye so I am not sure what to do... Anyway I get lost in notifications so was not sure you posted about your email
@espyetta I'm visiting my mom, brother and his family in Colorado Springs. Definitely NOT Chicago!! My mom's going to be 92, so I was impressed she and I could spend an hour in the park there.
Stunning capture!!! Awesome flare!!! Beautiful shot of the light on the rocks and the brilliant blue sky!!! Colorado is so wonderful to visit!!! So glad your mom got to spend this time with you!!! My mom just passed away last year at 96 and I am so thankful for the time we had together!!!
Oh that's awesome and one of my favorite places!! It would be great if we could meet up while you are here, but also know time is short while traveling! Fav!
@exposure4u It would have been fun, but I'm already back in Chicago. I'm not sure when the next trip will be but am guessing the first of the year as I'm trying to get out there to visit a bit more often. This was such a quick visit (Friday - this morning) that it was all about family. You have such great spots for photography -- I want to come when it's not a full moon to do some night sky shots!
@taffy Sorry I missed you! I just got back in town from southern Colorado yesterday. It's so unpredictable around here, but the colors are definitely much later than normal in different areas of Colorado, however, I heard Breckenridge has already lost most of their leaves? Sure hope you can make it back soon!
@amandal@newbank@soboy5 Thanks Danny, Ruth, and Amanda! I really appreciate your kind words (and the fav, Amanda!). I know this is going to make my mom happy too as it was taken on my walk with her.
