Man and Nature Collide

Thank you for your lovely comments on my Cairns shots from yesterday's photowalk. This one is from the same area, in the large public park with the huge pool area next to the ocean. The contrast hit me tonight as I was fiddling with the shot so I decided to process to bring out the man-made pool and fountain, with sculptures in contrast to the sea, mountains, clouds. I used a filter in Color Efex to exaggerate the difference in water tones to bring out the mud flats versus the pool water.
Perhaps the best part of this is it's almost 9:00 p.m. and I managed to stay awake (awoke this morning at 2:30, 4:15, and got up at 5:30). A not fun part of travel is jet lag, but the advantage is a rare sighting of sunrise (though too tired to download photos from this morning). Another full day tomorrow so I thank you for your patience and your continued support. I do miss viewing your photos and commenting!
