Photo from Naples Botanical Gardens while in Florida last week. P3 also posted today on the 365 Toys site... http://365project.org/365toygroup/365/2014-12-11
We're all packed up, including camera and related equipment, ready to fly down to Chile to meet up with Junko @jyokota and Bill for a 10 day holiday. I'm looking forward to pretending everything is normal before coming back and dealing with the rest of the content removal process and figuring out why the Condo insurance still has not provided an estimate to the contractor so they can begin. Today is the one month anniversary of the fire. Time to start reconstruction, I would think, not just wait for more time to go by.
Photo combines three using Photomatix, with an eye to increasing detail but processing to look as natural as possible.
Have a good run up to the holidays everyone and apologies in advance for what is likely to be even more sporadic posting and commenting.
A beautiful image Taffy it makes me want to walk under the archway. Lovely lines taking you through the shot - love the shadows and detail. Safe journey and enjoy your holiday in Chile. I hope you can forget about reality for a while. When you return I am sure there will be lots of progress!! Keep safe!!
Amazing shot, I love everything about it. The light colour and lines are fantastic. I hope you have an amazing holiday too.
I also have a doctor from Chicago to thank for getting Natalia home. Apparently the team of doctors dealing with her case are an international team, with the head office being in Chicago. It was his idea to get her home to see if it would improve the situation. We are very happy :)
A well composed set of images -- looks so natural -- there is light at the end of the tunnel !!!! Hope you can forget a little and enjoy the break from it all x
love the glimpse into another season. Happy trails; can't wait to see Chile. 365 has a virtual traveling aspect to it. We get to go all sorts of places.
I really like this shot... the lines and composition make it, 'natch! A very inviting view. Have safe travels to Chile. I have never seen it, so hoping you post some very cool shots from there. Virtual travel! :)
Such an awesome shot, Taffy. I love all the detail you have captured here. I gave up on my Panasonic camera and will sell it on ebay. Bought a Sony a6000 yesterday. It has a 16-500 lens and I bought a 55-210 lens. Been watching a lot of you tube videos and taken a few photos. Lost in this one but someone on this site that decided to buy a new camera, bought the same one so we are beginners together. She ordered hers yesterday. Stood outside our front door today and the glare on the screen is horrible but the view finder works well. Super fast photo shooting too. Will get out soon to take and post some photos. Enjoy your trip. FAV
This is just fantastic. I don't understand your processing as. I am an amateur but I lovethe effect you have achieved. I am behind with my comments as I have had a hectic few days so you'll get a few notices from me . Enjoy Chile
Beautiful HDR photo Taffy....you have become such a master at this that you constantly inspire me!! My new camera (D810) can now do in camera HDR with, I believe, up to 7 bracketed shots, but I still have not figured out all the controls on it to start using it! I am definitely putting Photomotix on my Christmas gift list... ;-))
Oh, and don't worry about commenting.....just enjoy yourself on your vacation. We all go through phases here, and it is all good! :-)
I was absolutely sure I had posted mine! But who knows what cyber gremlins stole my uploading! In any case, I love yours for the wonderful sense of depth you've captured and the classic mix of structure and nature.

Wow, a month already! I can't believe it has been a month since the fire. I hope you hear back from the insurance company soon! Waiting is hard!
