We did an evening excursion about 70 miles from Athens down to Sounion at sunset (while waiting for @jyokota 's plane to arrive). The ruins of the temple are high above the sea and made for a beautiful setting.
After three flights and 22 hours, I'm home and working to stay awake til a reasonable time. Will begin catching up on commenting tomorrow -- and will be posting Greece photos I'm sure over the next week (or so).
SPECTACULAR -- and Fav! The way you composed it to include the hillside and the ocean, the sunset colors, the temple itself so gloriously captured. Fabulous
Such a wonderful scene with perfect light showing it off to perfection! Looking forward to the rest of your Greek photos! Hope you get over the jet lag quickly!
love it. I flipped through the comments, but no one mentioned that little man up on the wall. I know there are other people in the shot, but that guy really gives the picture a sense of scale.
Wow! another I'll have to show the boy! We enjoyed viewing others together. Of course, now he wants to go to Greece! I'm pretty sure I predicted that! :)
@bob65 Thanks so much!! The place was actually crawling with tourists if you look large. Lots of little dots of them. Fortunately, the temple was so huge that we all turned into ant-sized creatures!
