This morning was spent getting ready to leave Beaver Island and head back to Chicago, then the flight, then the drive, and now home. I took many photos today surprisingly, but too tired now to deal with them. Instead, enjoyed looking at fellow 365ers postings!
Thank you for your lovely responses to my sunsets, beach/swing, and the last of the Athens photos for awhile. Here's yet another sunset...but the last for awhile, I promise.
I can only reiterate what I have said before: Beautiful composition, great use of all the lines leading to the grey corner of depression on the left. You have said before that you are not much of a landscape photographer, but you have the eye and artistic feel to make a success of any subject. The only thing is that you have more opportunity for cityscapes and architecture than for landscapes, but when you do get the opportunity, they are perfect!
Stunning image Taffy!! I love the reflection in the little waves in the foreground and those lines which take your eye to the branches. Wonderful composition!! Fav!
Wonderful, how the colors in the sky come down to the point on the horizon where the land ends and how this shape is echoed in the ripples at the water's edge. Nicely shot.
Fabulous photo.... I love the tones and textures... the three diagonal ripples reflecting the sun in the foreground really draws the eye to that twig! FAV
Wow love the ripples along the shoreline with the Orange/red color and the white clouds drawing you into the photo, like how you used the twigs in the foreground.
Stunning shot Taffy.
Do you ever use a CP filter with your WA lens?
sheer gorgeousness... i was at a conference today and the conference room had a number of large landscape photographs of this sort - blown up huge... and looking at them i couldn't help but be disappointed - because i know i've seen so many better landscape photos on 365 than were hanging in that room... and this is one such example :)
@soboy5 Aw...thanks so much, Danny! I was surprised as I thought it was a 'last week' shot and had missed the chance to be on TT. I was thrilled to see it even at #2!!
Congrats Taffy on TT, I really love this wa shot and how it draws your eye to the corner of the photo with the colorful reflections.
I had fun experimenting with my wa lens on my holiday, just started going through my pics. Not all turned out as some of pics the sky was blown out and having something in the foreground wasn't always possible with the mountain shots. I did post one today that I think works, let me know what you think if you have a chance.
