Why is so much traffic going INTO the city???? Planned for the ONS10 movement/motion theme today. I found a great spot on the Morgan Street Bridge overlooking the Blue Line UIC-Halstead stop. Winds were blowing tonight, though!
Thanks for all those nice comments about the Board of Trade building (but no sympathy I noticed for having to work all day!). And for the interesting comments and questions about the teapot processing. Fun to read and as always, appreciated!
Now, you see I would love to have done something like this! But our small town has what we affectionately call "a rush minute" that happens at 7am in the morning! Pros and cons of living in a small town! Love the red streaks and where some of them cross.
I dream of getting a shot like this. I'm in a similar position to Debs @dibzgreasley except for the fact that we don't ever have a 'rush hour'. We don't even have a set of traffic lights!
Love love love it! Like Debs @dibzgreasley and Sally @salza I just don't have the opportunity to get shots like this! I am so looking forward to doing some night time city shots with you and hopefully learning how to do them properly! Fav!
Fab, jealous of your vantage point..... and your progression towards retirement which is probably why none of us have any sympathy for you having to work all day!! Ha ha
@pamknowler This is a 5 minute walk from my house, so very very easy for us to do. Alternatively, there is a wonderful bridge over Lake Shore Drive with the city to the right and the lake to the left, near the zoo...it might be fun to try a new one too.
Wow, stunning!! I really enjoy seeing your night photography. It is always spot on! And I got a chuckle from your paranthetical aside about not getting any sympathy for working all day.
Great shot! It has given me an idea for our photo club's upcoming get together- maybe we could do light trails. I'll have to think of a place where a group of people could set up tripods to do it though. The Poconos does not have the same attractions as Chicago!
