Not much to say...it's a pylon. Feeling a bit like I'm slogging through flash of red at the moment. My solution was to play with a very colorful architectural shot of some of the new buildings at Riverbend, one of which looks like it's on a very wobbly base: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2017-02-17
@golftragic I did try to flip it, and it looked funny to me (not humorous, but weird) in the way it was leaning. So I ended up leaving it as is. @pamknowler Yep, Pam, I'm getting bored with b&w architecture and trains, but that seems to be what I mostly have to work with at the moment. So the powerlines/pylons were quite a treat for me to capture.
I think you've been doing quite well with the subject matter. It's funny (odd) how when we're not really focused on taking a particular style/genre that those images present themselves all the time, but when it's "mandatory" they seem to completely disappear! I feel that this year there's been a bit of limitation with subject matter due to linking the weekly assignments with this particular book. I know having a book to read alongside the challenge has been helpful to some, but I miss the first one where we just had weekly themes to shoot in black and white. Changes coming next year! In the meantime- feel absolutely free to adjust the subject matter to your liking- or dig into your archives. With all the amazing trips you've been taking I'm sure there's some shots you'd like to see what they look like in black and white.
it's a great minimalistic shot!
