Contrails began to take on a range of shapes, reflected in the calm water. I thought this one was really intriguing, and it lasted for quite a while before dissipating across the sky.
Wishing everyone a good weekend!
Reminds me of a lead singer or guitarist skimming across the stage on their knees, hair streaming behind! Completely at odds with the peaceful image below, of course. I've never seen a cloud like that. Intrigued by what @Weezilou said about the missile launch. I'm always interested in the science of what's happening chemically to create phenomena like this.
@casablanca I wouldn't have thought of it, but now see it, too! The launches don't leave more than a hot vapor trail, but it's much bigger than a plane leaves. At the right time of day, they often warranted a photo in the newspaper... well, maybe THAT's how long ago the last one was that I saw as newspapers are nearly a thing of the past!
Taffy...I had a crazy dream that included you and some of my art community and I was teaching you all how to carve rubber stamps! Instead of making "repeatable" art, you carved a sculpture of a rotund little figure and I told you I would recognize that immediately as your work! (Where DOES this stuff come from???!)
