I almost stepped on this poor critter, but it moved just in time. I ran in to get my camera. He was hidden in heavy grass so as I cleared it away to get a shot, he stayed in the same spot but shifted 90 degrees. I moved grass again, and again he shifted 90 degrees. This happened three times -- never left the spot, but kept turning to the side. Finally, patience won out, and he let me move a few blades but nothing too close to him. I loved his satisfied smile!
he knew what you were up to? I always feel a bit guilty if I remove a bit of grass or foliage - with me, usually in vein - but you have a lovely capture here.
Your narrative is just so funny, I can picture the scene vividly. But your persistence paid off bigtime. Wonderful shot, the frog's expression's worth bottling for future use.
