Golf Course Turtle by taffy

Golf Course Turtle

Turtle thoughts: "I'm relaxing on the 6th hole, thinking the golfers must finally be gone. Suddenly, three of them show up and one sticks an iPhone in my face. A second one says that no one can take a swing until I'm moved. So undignified to think of them moving me, so I take off. But one of them lifts me up in the midst of my escape, and takes me to some trees. They were too impatient! I would have made it there on my own. I can't wait til they all go away!"
Note: Shot taken on the Beaver Island golf course. Turtle's description of events is pretty accurate. Wishing everyone a good weekend!
Awesome picture.

I love the sleepy eyed look of turtles.

Fun story! Fun capture!

Good capture of such a 'happy' one. Hope your game was good.

Great story - great shot of a turtle who doesn't know how lucky he is! He has people who worry about him!

This is so funny - and a great image!

Lovely colourful turtle! So pleased he made it to safety! It won't be long until you are all gone!

A fabulous shot and story! I was not aware that you are also a golfer ;-) Have a great weekend too.

Love the story-line, so funny. Better that than than the howling southwesterlies we played in today, and those after pelting torrents of rain. Bunkers full of water, stroke round, bah-humbug, bring on tomorrow.

Humans! They think world it's theirs and pretend not to know we were there for millennia and will be there after they will be extinct... (second thought of the turtle)

September 16th, 2017
Hilarious

Or...maybe he likes golfers? He isn't hiding his head inside his shell. He's obviously used to people in his habitat.

Ha ha, a great story and shot.

September 16th, 2017
Ha ha, poor old turtle! Probably picked that spot and took a week to get there, just settling in and up you come......lovely shot!
September 16th, 2017
Love the third person narrative, he does look grumpy!
September 16th, 2017
He's cute!
September 16th, 2017
Lovely shot and he is cute.
September 16th, 2017
He doesn't look happy to be sharing his turf. Great commentary!
September 16th, 2017
Love the disdainful expression!
The low pov you've used is ideal.
We had a tortoise when I was little - when they want to hustle they have a brisker turn of speed than they're usually given credit for.
September 16th, 2017
Love the shot and tale!!
September 16th, 2017
Great shot!

Great capture but very unusual to have a tortoise on a golf course.
Did it lose its way? Lovely shot. Fav

"Red-Eared Terrapin"...they're movers when they have a mind to! Back in my college years I found one crossing the highway, so I popped it in the car "and moved her to Arizona"! We already had a yard populated with turtles and tortoises, so she found a happy home... (The 67th floor of a downtown high rise would not have been a convenient turtle dwelling!}

PS...that highway was in Oklahoma!
