The golf group of yesterday's turtle experience went hiking instead today, searching for some early signs of autumn colors. Other than getting lost once and following a deer path back to the main trail, the event was a success.
Thanks for enjoying Turtle's commentary yesterday!
Beautiful fall ferns, and a segue to share what I learned while living up north! In CA, our lush green ferns are beautiful year-round. On our lot outside Lunenburg, we had a gorgeous swath of ferns along a path, so when we returned in the spring and they were gone, I made a big fuss about who might have "cut them all down"! I'm better educated now... I hadn't realized ferns could die back and come up fresh each year!
