Snow Comes to Snowy Ridge

The Snowy Ridge mountains and Lake Bellemy, near Centennial, Wyoming -- above the tree line at about 10,800 feet. Wet snow and hail arrived minutes later. I don't think the weather will clear before I head home, sadly ... unusual for Wyoming. But I'm enjoying getting to see longtime colleagues and friends while visiting for a conference.

What a lovely place. I always had the impression Wyoming was flat and full of cattle - clearly completely wrong in this! I'd like to put my boots on and, Narnia-like, clamber into your picture frame and go for a hike.
