These four busy dragonflies made the 1969 movie pop into my head (most likely a baby boomer generation reference).
At the last minute today, since I couldn't find a golf buddy, I decided to drive down to Millers Marsh for some practice with my 150-600 lens. In an hour's time, I saw many mating dragonflies, several single dragonflies, a muskrat swimming in the marsh among the lily pads, lily pads turning beet red for autumn, milkweed and seeds popping, and on the way home, a doe and her two fawns were eating apples by the side of the road. It was hard to choose a photo for tonight, and I think I have enough to work on all week. Sometimes lack of a golf partner turns into a good thing!
hahaha! before i saw the title, i had BCTA in my head, don't know why. never got to see the film, i was not admitted in the theater being underage! now the song is in my head! aces, miss taffy!
Great narrative. Love this comp. So well balanced on each side and that nice blue popping up against the soft background. beautiful. A hole in one, I would say ;-)
Ha ha, excellent title! Love this, so much fun. I cannot believe how much wildlife there is around you!
Dare I ask......how's that refurbishment coming along?
@casablanca Thanks! Yes, you can ask...we are waiting today to find out when the remaining bits to finish the cabinets will be delivered. Then there are the countertops to install, the bathroom vanity and shelves, lights, and final coat for the wood floors. We are hoping to move in the week of October 16th, but are not sure we'll be able to...it's getting close, but we've hit the frustrating moments of 'shouldn't it be done by this week???' and knowing it won't be. Oh well...the end is really just weeks away, not months. It will be this month for sure!
@taffy Almost there, these last bits can be nail bitingly frustrating!! But soon......cheering you on and looking forward to the day you guys get to move in and enjoy all that new stuff finally in place :) x
Amazing scene! And now you make me wish I had been there to be your photobuddy since you saw so many interesting things! Instead, I'm sitting alone at the dining room table.
love the title and great capture of them - I tried to photograph just one yesterday and that was a disaster :)
What a fabulous shot. fav
