This Tree Has the Best Apples! by taffy

This Tree Has the Best Apples!

This doe and her two fawns roam the woods on the bluff about our house. I passed them in the car when I had my camera with its 150-600mm lens on. I stopped the car and rolled down the window thinking I'd never get the camera up and ready in time. But they just hung around while I snapped away, clearly not willing to move away from this particular apple tree. I found it interesting, though, that while she wouldn't leave the area, she placed herself between me and her two fawns.
Thanks for putting my sunset from last night on PP! Very much appreciate your lovely comments and favs.
The tongue is a kick and a half!

I love the startled look on her face. They didn't run off at least, the apple must have been more of an attraction.
I put some banana and apple out for our resident possums this evening and as I was taking out the garbage I spotted them. They scarpered until I came inside again and then ate the fruit. We have a Mum and baby possum and even in the last week the baby has grown so much. It no longer hangs on its Mum's back now.

I laughed out loud when I saw this! "Now sweetie, don't speak with your mouth full and close your mouth when you're chewing!" The other ears and face peeking round are hiding in case they get into trouble too......

Funny face! Sometimes the does are quite protective but I think they always know they can outrun us.
