This is a tree @ukandie1 has featured in her album over the years - most recently yesterday - http://365project.org/ukandie1/365/2018-01-06 . She introduced me to the tree on our journey down the Lake Michigan path. This image is an homage to Andie's work -- my inclination would be to wait til everyone was gone and take only the lone tree. I've learned from Andie that people can make a shot more interesting.

So interesting because I have already seen Andie's tree and commented on it, and this is such a different processing that I see the tree pointing the man away and "sending him away" and he has his head appropriately downward at being sent away.
She's right, the man adds so much interest to what is already a lovely image. Nice in this high key processing. Looks to me like the bird is in charge and the tree is pointing where the man has to go under the bird's orders.
The tree is striking but the little figure makes this for me - he looks so dejected! To me the tree is bending over in empathy and the burd is the cherry on the top!
I was thinking today about the difference between technical excellence and actually conveying a vision with an image. This has both. A fave for me for sure.
love this. so true about the people. I have the same natural inclination and someone made the point you are making to me, here on 365, so I try now to be more aware and less resistant to including people. So, this is a really great composition and the processing serves to highlight that.
@fbailey @casablanca @lyndamcg @dibzgreasley Thanks for the visit, as always -- and I'm loving your different interpretations!
