Fortunately for the city, it traveled north so missed us. More coming in so hoping the rest follow the same path. I couldn't catch any lightning, but did capture this one flash in the sky below and behind the clouds.
Love the ominous tones, I waited for the storm to pass before walking Finn...quiet for a few hours but now at 10:30 at night it is crazy storming out there. So looking forward to when you capture your first lightning strike, it might take some patience and persistence but I know you will get it!
I have never yet been successful with capturing lightning. There must be a trick to it but I don't know what yet! This is super moody and you can really feel the breeze coming and the rain about to pour.
@casablanca I've never managed to capture lightning either, but David did, he did cheat though. He took a video of a storm and took a screen grab from the video of lightning.
I agree, I checked out lighting shots and it seems like one either needs one of those sensors or set up the camera and leave it on bulb for a while. Fantastic shot as it is though, it really captures the forboding sky and atmosphere very well.
