This is the building I'd photographed from a friend's condo. This image was taken from the 5th floor parking garage, and is just an iPhone shot. I like the looks of the building, just wish there wasn't so much construction going on in our area.
Love the shot and the architecture, but heartily agree with you about construction around you. We live in a suburban street with individual houses on quarter-acre blocks (the old standard size). But we currently have a plague of houses being bought, 'dozed and several units built on the same block. Three built on a block two doors down, a new (replacement) house next door, and now the bloke on the other side of us is going to build two units, one for him and his wife and the other for almost-grown kids. Neither we, nor the other residents are at all impressed.
I am constantly impressed by the size and height of skyscrapers but I don't know if I would want to live in or near any. Where I live the tallest building is four stories!
An impressive building, but I agree with you about so much construction. Unfortunately, when building out becomes a problem the developers resort to building up instead and make much more money
Great shot and great problem. Ever since I got to the place where I live, I live on one big construction site. And I can not photograph sunsets from my window anymore.
The crane beside the building looks a little animate to me. London is much the same with the rate of construction, one has to learn to see the cranes as a valid part of the scenery.
