Lots of activity still going on, with concerts all week (ending Saturday night), an art event tomorrow at the gallery where my photos are, including a pop up concert mid-afternoon, and all the regular activity. It's all so much fun, but it also is making the time go by so quickly - hard to believe it is now August! This was taken in our garden -- I never realized how much bees would like the coleus flowers. I've started creating cuttings to plant them in spaces where flowers have died off. Silly with such short time left, but seems worth a try.
Thanks for your comments and apologies for uneven commenting in return.
What a happy bee. Coleus plants survive with very little work, well ours do anyway luckily. Gardening here is a bit hit and miss. More miss than hit lately, we just seem to be so busy.
I have seen so many different bees on 365 - I would never have known that there was such a variety in their appearance. This one is the long haired variety that looks to me as if it could almost masquerade as a plant itself. Excellent shot, of course.
A lovely shot. Coleus are so pretty! They can get top heavy though. A big wind gust last Monday snapped some of mine off at ground level. I was so surprised!
@pamknowler Thanks Pam! I'm hoping to stay here through the first weekend in September (though may go home for a few days when Jim returns to teach). Then, we'll have a week up here in October before closing it down. Fortunately, Jim is only teaching one course this semester so it gives us a little flexibility.
