I had to take almost 40 photos of this little white cabbage butterfly (thanks Amanda and Lou Ann for identifying it) as it was quite hyper in flying around. But it kept coming back to my basil plant so I finally caught one with its eyes and body in focus. The wings look quite white in the bright sunlight, but have some light color tones when the photo downloads.
Wonderful capture with great dof showing his eyes and body in focus! Well done on your patience as you finally got a great shot. They really are difficult to capture! Love those eyes!
That close up is amazing! What lens did you use, out of interest? Is it a macro? I don't have anything that could produce that dof and focus on something so tiny, so I am interested.
