Shadow Had a Rough Round by taffy

Shadow Had a Rough Round

Stopped at the 9th hole to do something I very rarely do -- take a (shadow) selfie. The late afternoon light was wonderful, casting long shadows. Given how we were playing, we decided this would be a fun way to end the game. My photo-golf-pickleball-buddy is heading home tomorrow, the first to be leaving after the season. It's hard to believe summer is coming to a close.
I like the touch of the club.

Great shot

Lovely shadow shot, like how the one cart wheel is still in the shot.

Yes, I am wishing for more summer. I think we had about 2 weeks of warm weather. Its snowing in northern BC.

Great shadow. I feel a bit melancholy about summer too.

Funny

How funny is this ... I just almost posted a similar image of me and my road bike, but I opted to post a regular shot of hubby and son instead, relegating my own shadow image to instagram! I may post it tomorrow for a laugh. Love this shot.

Wonderful! Golf is the greatest game as it's so many games in one. I once had the soles on my shoes come off on the 8th hole (due to extremeheat when stored), played the nine and then went home.

So cool! I love the golf bag caddy too! Jerry said the trees are turning to fall colors in Montana, so early. How can it be?

Very cool and I love your title.

Great shadow shot.

That is great fun! Summer is not done yet......you don't have to leave the island so soon, do you? Feels like you just arrived! And your tomatoes need you!!

Love the shadow shots; this is really well done!

Great shadows

What a clever shot to catch the two of you - looks kind of neat that way.

Cool shadow shot, well done!

Ha ha a brilliant long legged shadow!

Cool selfie

it seems that you only just arrived and settled in. Surely summer isn't over yet is it? Certainly here, I don't feel that it has got into its stride yet. Fun shadow selfie here.

It's been a pleasant summer overall so I'm somewhat sad to hear of school starting. But more surprisingly I'm seeing some of the trees starting to turn colors! I like the shadow/golf/selfie- especially the non-shadowy elements which ground the picture in reality. Fun shot!

LOL - these shadow shots are always so enticing. This is a beauty!

Cool picture.

Oh, this is very sweet... a nice end to a day of golf. I am so not ready for summer to end! Good for you, to pull your clubs. :)

Great shot! I love shadow selfies

Love it Taffy, I often see really good shadow selfies on the golf course (early morning) but am rarely in a position to do anything to record them. I know exactly what you mean about the game though, all four of us played like rubbish last round. Added to which, I got (physically) stuck in a deep bunker, couldn't get out them managed to kinda fall out in a position I could crawl out but unfortunately did some damage to my right (metal) knee and very wonky ankle. More war wounds!

Oh yeah, almost forgot, how did the tomatoes fare?
August 21st, 2019
Fun shadow selfie!

@golftragic Tomatoes are producing, but only small cherry tomatoes so far. They are tasty though. Our image of huge big-boy type though...not to be.

Ah, summer's end. I see you have gone curly and have your usual hat on. Enjoy those last weeks. At least YOU have another month!
August 22nd, 2019
Haha, lovely. What a pitty that the end of Beaver Island is coming near.
August 23rd, 2019
@taffy Darn, did something eat them?
August 24th, 2019
@golftragic Tomatoes are fine -- tons of them changing colors appropriately, but not growing bigger than little cherry tomatoes, except one plant. Oh well...
August 24th, 2019
@taffy Damn! Tomatoes can be tricky little devils with lots of likes and dislikes. Cherry tomatoes are far more reliable.
