Moody Sanctuary Wide-Angle by taffy

Moody Sanctuary Wide-Angle

This is the last of the three versions, this one taken from the balcony using a wide-angle lens with my Nikon 610. I couldn't get directly centered because of audio-visual equipment blocking the center fo the balcony. Other than the lack of perfect symmetry, this is the version I prefer for its realism.
For convenience, the other two are:

Fisheye: https://365project.org/taffy/365/2019-11-24
I'm thinking I prefer this one if I had to pick only one. Beautiful image.

Goodness, it is huge! I like all three for different reasons, but this one shows so much of the building and its visual impact.

Lol! My favorite is the fish eye. There is something about the rounding of the scene that gives it a sacred feel. So glad you showed us all of them. How come your 610 rather than your Z 6?

This is wonderful! I’ve been there, a long while ago, and this is how I remember it.

This one! It’s fabulous!

I love it off center.

I don't know- I like them all, I fav'd them all! Each one gave me a different feel for the sanctuary but this one reminds me of Brooklyn Tabernacle (another massive sanctuary) and I wonder what it must be like to be there for a service- it's probably awe-inspiring.

@jgpittenger Hehe. I was running late and the 610 meant not having to grab the FZ adaptor. So laziness won out over preferred camera I guess.

Gosh this is huge! And just a church? Or could it be a concert theatre too?

Beautiful architecture and design... wonderful photo!

The pinks on stage are intriguing

I liked all three shots -each had a different feel. I liked the fisheye shot the best.

Fantastic picture.

Another stunning capture of this wonderful church. Although I love them all, the fish eye is my favourite. Fav

Such an interesting exercise in "seeing" differently!

Terrific :)

So interesting to see each version of the same scene. I love all of them would be difficult to pick a favorite

Intriguing how the 21mm seems subjectively to present a wider view than the 8mm fisheye. Stunning interior - glad you were one of the chosen so that we got to see it too.

More representative without the fish eye curve.

The comparison is interesting but this is my favorite.

I really enjoyed your series. It is such a beautiful looking church and you captured it wonderfully.

All lovely shots, but I like this one most of all. Fav!! 😀

Wow

Interesting to see the different captures. This one has very clear and straight lines almost perfect for me. My favourite is the first one, the lines are more harmonious.

Such a lovely space!

Fabulous shot. fav

Oh yes, this one is my top of the pops. There is a definite church-like feeling to this image which, I think, comes from the clear physical lines and shapes concentrating on the central platform area.

Love that pipe organ!

Wonderful shot.

I can’t decide which one I prefer, all 3 are wonderful!
